Welcome to NarrowStreet.
This is the place, where we believe that change can happen, if you believe in it. A place, where choice and destiny collide. Where reverence comes before relevance. Where we believe every young person is a leader, and an influencer.
A place where we recall what Jesus has done for us, then remembering what God has promised us.
And it’s because faith is about reaching up and grabbing hold of nothing, and holding on until it becomes something.
The Bible throws us a curve ball in Matthew 7:13-14:
“13“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (NIV)
and in The Message, it’s put this way:
“Don’t look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don’t fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention. (Matthew 7:13-14, The Message)
So the question we’re all poised with is, are we walking the narrow path to life? Are we being vigourous and giving Christ our total attention? We can’t be sure of it all the time. But here, in Narrowstreet, we spur each other on.
Proverbs 27:17 serves as a reminder for us – “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”
Here, in Narrowstreet, we believe that we can. Because we serve a great God, Jesus. Who is able to do more than we can ever ask for, or even imagine, or even fathom. We believe we can, because God is on our side, and if God be for us, who can be against us?
Join us, and together… we can bring the rain.
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
