Pastor Dr Chew Weng Chee
Senior Pastor

Ps Dr Chew was a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist before he gave up his medical career to serve the Lord full time in 1999.

He graduated with a Masters degree in Theology from the Regent College Bible School, Vancouver in 1993. Till March 2007, he was the President of SIB (Sidang Injil Borneo), Semenanjung, overseeing 31 Bahasa Malaysia churches throughout West Malaysia. Ps Chew has ministered extensively in Conferences and Church Camps both locally and overseas.

Ps Chew is also the Senior Pastor of SIB (KL), a rapidly growing English congregation. Ps Chew is married to Ps Dr Lew Lee Choo, a paediatrician, and has 2 sons, Jonathan and Christopher.

Deputy Senior Pastor

Ps Dr Lew Lee Choo is a graduate of Edinburgh Medical school. A Paediatrician, she gave up her profession to become a full time pastor in 1998 after returning from her theological studies form Regent College , Vancouver. Currently she is the Cell Connector in SIB (KL) and overlooks the Adult , Young Adult and Ladies cell groups. She is also the pastor in charge of the Worship, Media and Creative arts ministries as well as the Prayer Ministry in SIB (KL) .

Ps Lee Choo is a well known speaker and together with her husband has taken many conferences both in Malaysia and abroad. She is well known for her passion for God and to raise up women and young people for 'such a time as this'!

Pastor Charlie Koh

In 1992, he resigned from stock broking and left for Canada to pursue seminary studies at Regent College, Vancouver, completing the Master of Divinity program in 1995. He later pursued the Master of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary, School of World Missions, Pasadena, California in 1996. While in Vancouver, he also served as an Associate Pastor in a Chinese Church.

Chandran Gopalan became a pastoral staff at SIBKL in 2006 after working for 30 years in the marketplace. He is happily married to Jennifer Eleanor Richard (for the past 22 years) and has together raised up their daughter, Laura Patricia Chandran aged 20. He oversees the CARE ministry in SIBKL which comprises of hospital visitation, marriage, premarital counseling, parenting, grief and soul care with its focus on building strong families.

Pastor Yew Chee Wai

Pastor Yew Chee Wai is a Connector in charge of the DNA Growth Track (director of Christian education). He also overseers the welcome ministry of SIBKL and Sub District Leader (SDL).

Pastor Lindy Ong
College Ministry Pastor

Pastor to the College United Zone, she has a great passion to see people in their college years live life with purpose and passion for the greater cause of Jesus Christ. Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Australia, she worked briefly as a Financial Advisor before going full-time to SIBKL in year 2001. Ps. Lindy is married to Nick Lee, a prominent music producer. Together, they are excited with what God is doing in Malaysia and are determined to make a difference in this generation and beyond.

Pastor Daniel Tan
Youth Pastor

He’s a passionate worshipper. A coffee-lover. Happily married to Ann, a very gifted administrator. He believes in engaging young people with solid teaching of the Truth and not “entertainment”. He’s committed to discipling young people to be the “1 Timothy 4:12” Christ-followers, radically living out loud their Christian faith.

Ndee, a “big” kid himself, loves leading kids to know and experience JESUS. He believes that no child is too young to understand the things of the kingdom. Hey man, he’s just a road sign pointing them to Jesus!

Siow Weng May
Toddzone Worker

She works among the little ones ( 1- 3 ½ ) and believes that laying the foundation of a child’s understanding of God’s love and the formation trust towards God in the early childhood programme in Toddzone.

Angeline Low
BLESS Coordinator

Angeline is the coordinator of BLESS, the community outreach arm of the church. She believes that whilst all men are created in our Father’s image, we were broken by the Fall – that we are all but mere broken sculptures, some more broken than others. Being continuously restored by our Father, she seeks to be the vessel of restoration to those who are more broken– those whom, by themselves find it difficult to receive the loving, merciful & healing hands of our Father & Creator.

Catherine Teong
Missions Ministry Coordinator

Having received the call on her life and subsequently trained in Bible School at BCM (Bible College in Malaysia), she joined SIBKL as a full time staff in Jan 2009. She had in past years enjoyed the exposures on Missions work abroad and now working in local missions of the indigenous people of Malaysia – the Orang Asli. She presently heads the Orang Asli’s ministry working with SIB Semenanjung Pastors in Jerantut and Tanjung Malim on Community Development Projects. She is also the Sabah Admin Coordinator for the Sabah project, which SIBKL has recently launched.
